Profile summary:


Develop and grow the life sciences business directly and through channel partners in North Africa  


-Establishing working relationships with distributors and customers in the region and keep close personal contact to appropriate levels of Key Accounts, investigate their business needs, identify and action potential new business opportunities with customers and serve as main contact.


-Build and maintain a solid working relationship and high level of trust with KOL customers.


-Based on profound knowledge, develop objectives to continue and expand business in all associated market segments.


-Together with local Marketing, build and implement plan for market development in the region. Contends for all existing and develops new sales opportunities within the territory to meet or exceed targets.


-Provide accurate forecast and lost order reporting as well as competitive information.


-Gathers, analyzes and delivers information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies and products appropriated to the market.


Ensures all vital resources needed are used efficiently and effectively in order to increase the business. Co-ordinate all issues with key clients between sales, service, support, customer services, marketing and finance.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • A higher level or academic degree (BSc)
  • Fluent in English and French language
  • MBA an advantage

Minimum Experience Level:


  • +/- 5 years’ distributor management experience within pharmaceutical, industrial, academic and diagnostic clinical healthcare segments
  • Experience in Life Sciences preferable
  • 3 years Commercial experience with distributors
  • 5-7 years previous experience in a Commercial organization

-Develops strategies for the channels, appoints and dismisses channel partners to drive growth and customer satisfaction.


-Ensures best teamwork cross-functional practices to support channel partners and end-users.


-Strong cultural awareness and an ability to build successful relationships


-Engages resources from across the organization to support growth in the markets.


-Implements and monitors effective performance management of channel partners, including compliance with financial & regulatory management practices, addresses and resolves channel partner issues


-Manages relationships with customers, distributors and global partners


-Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to influence across multiple cultures, regions, and functions, and operate at all levels in the business


-Must be highly collaborative and engaging, a strong relationship builder and comfortable in highly matrixed and complex environments.


-Must be self-confident and possess the right balance of both strategic and tactical thinking.


-Excellent influencing, communication, leadership & presentation skills


-Consistently monitors results of sales processes, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales tracking through the use of the CRM system and other designated IT tools, ability to establish short & long-term business objectives.


-Ability to work across multiple geographies and network cross-divisionally to leverage scale across the entire business


-Develops and maintains an up to date knowledge of the LSG portfolio and understands markets and buying practices required to effectively compete in the global Life sciences market


-Ensures that comprehensive product and application knowledge is used to successfully conduct effective consultative and strategic selling presentations
