Roles & Responsibilities

As an HSE Coordinator at Lesaffre Morocco, you will be the guarantor of the safety of our employees, our facilities, and our HSE processes. Your expertise and commitment will play a crucial role in our continuous objective of maintaining exceptional safety standards in our production environment. Reporting to the QHSE Manager, your main responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

HSE Policy: Implement and supervise the application of the HSE policy in accordance with current standards and regulations and the HSE policy of the Lesaffre Group.

Safety Inspections and Evaluations: Coordinate and conduct regular inspections to identify potential risks. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety policies and procedures and propose improvements.

Incident Management: Implement procedures to respond effectively to safety-related incidents. Conduct thorough investigations of incidents, analyze root causes, and develop corrective action plans.

Secured Equipment and Facilities: Supervise the regular maintenance of safety equipment and ensure its proper functioning. Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure the safety of facilities.

Standards and Regulations: Ensure regulatory watch in HSE matters. Interact with regulatory bodies and actively participate in compliance audits.

Safety Culture: Promote a safety-oriented corporate culture, encourage open communication on safety issues, and reward good practices. Encourage individual safety responsibility within each team.

Training and Awareness: Design and deliver regular safety training programs for all personnel. Organize awareness sessions on specific risks.

Risk Assessment and Action Plans: Assess potential risks and propose action plans to minimize them. Develop risk management strategies to anticipate and respond to potential challenges.

Reports and Documentation: Keep detailed records of safety incidents, inspections, and training. Prepare regular reports on safety performance for QHSE management and regulatory bodies. Lead Safety Committee meetings and draft minutes.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bac+5 or equivalent: in Hygiene, Safety, Environment or related field.
  • Relevant professional experience of 2 to 5 years in a similar role, preferably in an agri-food production environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of HSE regulations.
  • Advanced project management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and lead HSE initiatives.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and ability to make clear decisions in emergency situations.
  • Professional English required.
