Roles & Responsibilities
The Test Specification Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end definition and maintenance of test specifications, ensuring full traceability between requirements, test design, and validation results within complex automotive systems (focus: steering systems / ECU testing).
Ability to independently create test specifications
No reliance on detailed instructions
Experience working with European OEMs (VW preferred)
Strong documentation discipline
Desired Candidate Profile
- Analyze system, software and safety requirements (ASIL relevant where applicable)
- Create high-quality test specifications and test cases (HiL / SiL / Vehicle)
- Ensure end-to-end traceability (Requirement Test Case Execution Result)
- Review and optimize existing test specifications
- Perform coverage analysis (requirements vs. test cases)
- Support test strategy definition and refinement
- Align with stakeholders (Germany / OEM / Suppliers)
- Hands-on experience in at least one domain: ECU testing steering/braking systems vehicle control systems
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Languages English: Professional working proficiency (mandatory)
- German: Considered a strong asset / plus
