Kalmar is looking for a HSE Officer Morocco & IMEA Safety Coordinator to act as a Key Driver for Operations & Safety in Morocco and the IMEA region.
This position is based in Casablanca`s office in Morocco and is reporting to the Regional Service Operations Manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities



Follow-up local with EHS regulations and involve relevant people to evaluate/ensure compliance Facilitate local risk assessments and ensure implementation of required controls and mitigation activities Establish together with the line organisation effective EHS communication routines Continuously improve the effectiveness of agreed safety processes and instructions by providing and involving people to EHS Audits, inspections, Gemba walks, etc. Communicate Kalmar global safety news locally and share local best practices with the global Safety team Ensure reported EHS incidents are handled in efficient way, carry out professional investigation of accidents Coordinate with our occupational doctor to insure health regulations are followed up Assist in the management of the performance, safety training and development of team members Ensure safety-related information flows seamlessly, effectively and regularly between the County Level Health and Safety Committee, to Supervisors and to individual technicians. Preparation of content for weekly Toolbox Talks to be held nationally, and in so doing ensure consistency and relevance of these Talks.

What you’ll need to succeed



We are looking for a responsible and motivated person with aptitude for health and safety management and control.

Ideally you have:



Technical Diploma level with Safety Certification Qualifications (NEBOSH / other) Valid training certificate showing completion of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment training Experience in Operations / Maintenance in Engineering or Port Sector job role would be a plus Experience in a Health and Safety Officer role with minimum 2 year experience Qualifications sufficient to perform the job role – EHS , Port Safety, applicable Understanding of health and safety management obligations (including statutory obligations), requirements and dynamics Experience of computer software e.g. database, spreadsheet Managerial ability to drive a cross border team Understanding of Country laws and regulations Excellent IT literacy, numeracy and analytical skills Fluency in English and French - both written and spoken Full driving licence.
