Reporting directly to the Managing Director for the KONE Distribution Business, we seek an energetic and enthusiastic Regional Sales & Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will work closely with the distributor teams across the Middle East, Africa & CIS countries to create sales strategies and distributor road maps.


The position will be based in Casablanca, Morocco, with a strong focus on Central & Western Africa. This strategic location gives the Regional Sales & Business Development Manager access to the African Market while also linking to the Middle East and CIS Countries.

What will you do?


  • Define, drive, and support changes to improve distributor business competitiveness and customer value.
  • Establishing new distributors where needed to optimize go-to-market channels to realize business growth.
  • Accountable for market data, segments, and information needed to support business and market share growth in each country within the area of responsibility. 
  • Understand the Distributor's customer needs holistically.
  • Proactively develop KONE’s position, and brand awareness in distributor countries.
  • Identifying growth opportunities by building relationships with key customers in the assigned area.
  • Support and Develop KONE position in his/her customer base or market area.
  • Create and track strategic sales growth targets with distributors.
  • Business planning and forecasting for the area.
  • Define and implement pricing policies for the distributors in line with unit targets.
  • Lead and develop programs for strategizing sales and ensure the progress and execution of development plans and roadmaps together with sales.
  • Accountable for driving opportunity pipeline in the early stages of the customer journey and throughout the decision-making process to grow the sales funnel, and maximize profitability and share of market.
  • Collaborate with distributor sales and regional development teams to ensure product development meets market demands and pricing strategies are tailored to capture KONE value propositions.
  • Responsible for gathering and documenting (e.g., to CRM) relevant information about the market and competitors.
  • Ensure data visibility, accuracy, and reporting for periodic business review meetings.
  • Lead meetings and negotiations with stakeholders and business partners to pursue business opportunities and protect the organization’s interests.

Are you the one?


  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering
  • 7+ years of relevant working experience in business development or sales roles in a similar B2B industry.
  • Working closely within a distribution environment managing distributor business in related industries across the Middle East and Africa with a focus on growth.
  • Experience in sourcing and onboarding new distributors in both current and new markets.
  • Excellent understanding of value selling techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence customers and colleagues.
  • Hands-on with the ability to work independently and propose alternatives and solutions.
  • Excellent French and English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across the region.
