The Senior Specialist, Procurement Operations will be responsible for the strategic procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials for the company's manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, experience in negotiating and managing contracts, and a proven track record of success in procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate the best prices and quality, payment, and delivery conditions.


• Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers based on technical requirements, quality and costs


• Participate in cost optimization activities related to procurement.


• Ensure the monitoring of orders placed and avoid any disruption to the production plan


• Optimize the flow of purchase orders (Follow-up of purchase orders from purchase request to payment)


• Ensure the availability, quality and the best price for raw materials purchased.


• Editing and monitoring of delivery plans until delivery of the goods respecting KPI’s


• Build and maintain relationship with suppliers.


• Work with other departments to ensure the smooth flow of materials.


• Follow-up of complaints with suppliers.


• Launch tenders if requested


• Ensure the application of the procedures and organizational rules while ensuring respect for quality and safety and Hikma’s policies.

Technical skills:

• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.


• Experience in negotiating and managing contracts.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Fluency in French and English in speaking and in writing


• International trade, Incoterms, rules of transport and international trade.


• MM module in SAP.


• Editing reports and consolidating the results of the performance of procurement operations.


• Windows office (word, excel, power point)
