About the location:
This incredible hotel project located in the capital of Morocco sits on 15 acres and consists of 13 buildings for accommodation, restaurants, lobby, located within lush gardens, in and outdoor pools and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Purpose:
To use discretion when operating the machines regarding the kind of garment, type of material, correct timing, and amount of pressure needed to produce a high-quality finish. To take any damaged garment, uniforms, or items with missing buttons, to the Seamstress to be repaired
Responsibilities Key Duties:
• The laundry department is to be kept clean and neatly organized at all times.
• All necessary safety precautions to be taken during the function of job: Use of chemicals (protective equipment), lifting (weight belts) and mopping (proper signage).
• All guest laundry processed must be clean, stain-free, odor-free and carefully pressed.
• Protective clothing needs to be worn as needed and must be readily available at all times.
• Updated material safety data sheet books are to be readily available for employee use.
• All equipment will be monitored for correct chemical levels and operating temperatures.
• Maintain a daily production record sheet.
• Guest personal property, including money if found, must be reported to security as lost and found and immediately reported to the Manager/ Supervisor.
• Respond properly to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
• Assist to operate and maintain all steam and pressing machines and to report any malfunctions immediately to a supervisor or manager.
• Assist to steam, press and touch up the linen e.g., shirts, jackets, blouses, dresses, skirts, pants, etc. in a professional manner meeting the standards of Four Seasons Rabat.
• Sorts, processes and finishes Employee Uniforms to standards set out by the Management team.
• Sort employee uniforms for appropriate action (Washing, dry cleaning, pressing) and then processes the clothing on the correct equipment using the appropriate temperature and chemicals. Once processed, hangs and transports clean uniforms to uniform room.
• Operate and maintain washer, dryer, wet cleaning machine, steam tunnel, presser and iron. Report any problems or deficiencies to the manager.
• Sorts linens into appropriate categories for washing, sorts out stained linen and loads and unloads driers.
• Operates and maintains folding equipment. Reports any problems or deficiencies to supervisor or manager.
• Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Valet /Uniform room.
• Picks up and deliver guest's laundry and dry cleaning from and to guest rooms if required.
• All Guest pick-up and delivery should be recorded.
• Display a high level of professionalism, warmth and integrity while in guest areas. Operational:
• To provide a friendly and professional service that always exceeds guests’ and employees’ expectations.
• To ensure you read the hotel's employee handbook and understand and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
• To undertake other duties and responsibilities which, while outside the normal routine, are within the overall scope of the position.
• To report for duty punctually wearing professional attire. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department personal appearance standards.
• To comply with local legislation as required.
• To maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all other departments through working by The Golden Rule.
• To respond to any changes in the division as dictated by the needs of industry, company or hotel.
• Conduct and attend training sessions as outlined.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Assistant Laundry Manager or Laundry Supervisor or Housekeeping Director.
• To ensure the correct items and prices are charged to Guests according to the pricing set in place. Skills:
