Job Description

The consultant will be responsible for automating and maintaining tests for back-end and front-end applications for the client's IT department, using Java Selenium and Karat API technologies with databases. You will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of new automated systems, as well as the improvement of existing tests. You will work collaboratively with the product, development, and design teams to ensure application quality.

In terms of tasks, you will be asked:

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts with Karate API and database / Selenium (Java)

• Write clear and readable test scenarios in Gherkin , within the framework of a BDD approach.

• Mastering REST API testing concepts with tools like Postman, in line with RESTful standards.

• Interacting with relational databases (PostgreSQL) or BigQuery to generate or use test datasets (SQL) / test the data.

• Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution via GitLab CI.

• Mastering test campaign management and quality monitoring in Jira XRAY.

• Apply the principles of software quality assurance, with a level of understanding validated by ISTQB certification.

• Build and maintain realistic and reproducible test datasets, linked to business cases.

• Produce accurate, concise and usable test deliverables and reports for all stakeholders.

• To demonstrate a strong analytical mind and a willingness to continuously improve, particularly in evaluating test coverage and the relevance of automations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• A Master's degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school or equivalent university qualification with a specialization in computer science, or equivalent significant experience.

• 3-7 years of experience in a similar position

• Experience in the retail or mass distribution sector would be an asset.
