Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Data & FinOps Engineer to join our Data team. You will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and evolution of data solutions that improve visibility into cloud costs, ensure reliable data processing, and support analytics and management needs. You will be involved in the entire data processing lifecycle, from pipeline development to dashboard production, including performance optimization and technical incident resolution. As a technical expert, you will also be expected to contribute to architectural choices, best development practices, and the continuous improvement of data platforms.

Main missions

• Ensure the maintenance and evolution of Power BI dashboards dedicated to monitoring and analyzing Cloud costs.
• Design, develop and maintain Python applications and scripts for data collection, transformation and integration.
• Design, develop and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) orchestrated with Apache Airflow.
• To guarantee the quality, reliability and performance of data processing.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents related to Python scripts, ETL pipelines, databases, and cloud services.
• Designing high-performance data solutions based on native cloud services.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models under PostgreSQL, particularly in Cloud environments.
• Participate in technical choices, propose architectural improvements and promote good development practices.
• Contribute to FinOps initiatives by providing reliable data on the consumption and costs of Cloud resources.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Significant experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Excellent mastery of Python development for applications and data processing in a production environment (beyond notebooks).
• Solid experience with the following Python libraries: Pandas, Polars, Matplotlib
• Very good mastery of the design and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience confirmed with Apache Airflow.
• Mastery of Power BI for the development, maintenance and optimization of dashboards.
• Experience in diagnosing and debugging Python scripts, data pipelines, and Cloud components.
• Good knowledge of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure platforms.
• Experience with serverless and/or containerized services such as AWS Lambda, AWS ECS or Azure Functions.
• Excellent command of SQL and good knowledge of PostgreSQL, including managed databases in the Cloud and their constraints.
• Good understanding of good software development practices (code quality, testing, version control).
• Knowledge of FinOps principles and Cloud cost management.
• Understanding of the pricing models of major Cloud providers and cost optimization strategies.
• Experience with modern Data Cloud architectures.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both with technical and professional interlocutors.
• Ability to present technical subjects and simplify complex concepts.
• Ability to challenge technical choices and defend reasoned proposals.
• Strong autonomy, sense of responsibility and ability to bring projects to completion.
• Analytical mind, rigor and problem-solving orientation.
• Curiosity and ability to quickly develop expertise in new areas, including FinOps and financial issues related to the Cloud.
