Reporting to the Tooling Supervisor, the Tooling Specialist is responsible for ensuring the preventive and corrective maintenance of plastic injection molds. The role also involves carrying out various activities related to mold repair, troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance processes to ensure optimal tooling performance and production continuity.

• Execute and monitor the preventive maintenance schedule for plastic injection molds.
• Perform corrective maintenance on plastic injection molds to ensure their reliability and proper operation.
• Monitor the condition, compliance, and availability of production resources and supplies (tooling, machines, spare parts, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with the Production Department and manage priorities related to mold status to minimize production downtime.
• Identify equipment and component malfunctions and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Verify, complete, and maintain daily reports and maintenance tracking documentation.
• Provide technical support to the Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
• Inspect produced parts and develop rework solutions when necessary.
• Participate in tooling analysis and continuous improvement meetings.
• Manufacture and machine precision mechanical components.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies, rules, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and regulations.

Technician Diploma (Bac+2), preferably as a Specialized Technician in Tooling, Mold Making, or Mechanical Manufacturing Methods.

Experience in mechanical manufacturing or injection molding, preferably in the automotive industry, is an asset.
