For our entity in Casablanca - Morocco, we are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Controlling team of the BU Agriculture Products.
What you can expect:
Roles & Responsibilities
- R&O report: Compile information from countries and consolidate the risks and opportunities as part of the monthly reporting of the relevant risks / opportunities inherent to the financial commitments.
- Channel Inventory: Prepare quarterly Channel Inventory reports based on Countries’ inputs, check, and analyze the deviations and address them together with subregional controlling for the identification of possible countermeasures.
- Business updates / S&OP calls support the monthly business review/update calls and the subregional S&OP calls with the relevant information and reports.
- Carry out ad hoc analysis and reports, under request of Sub-Regional controlling or other departments.
- Support the Sub-Regional annual budgeting activities, validate and check the completeness and correctness of the Budget input in MAP/SPOT.
- Cost of Goods tracking: Monthly check of the COGS and address the unusual development and deviations with the responsible units for further check and adjustment.
- Subregional cost monitoring check Actuals, prepare the full year Forecast and ensure proper allocation to the relevant Markets( PMAP entries)
- Ensure necessary development, updates, optimization, and training about new reporting tools to Controlling Community (SPOT, IBP etc..)
- Leverage latest technology & drive digital enhancement in the Sub-Regional reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Power Query etc.)
- Support the Commercial Excellence Team in the Growth Plan and AMIGA 10YFC activities.
- Active participation and interactions with the different stakeholders through the relevant existing platforms ( Controlling community, Reporting Group calls, PowerUser Community) and Active involvement in Controlling related projects.
- Engaging in the subregional Controlling community in line with the BU and BASF Controlling Community to-be-behaviors
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required
- A recognised University degree in Finance and/or controlling and/or accounting degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in controlling or finance background.
- Good knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and practices.
- Strong / Clear communicator with verbal & written command of English & French
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong aptitude for the use of IT tools. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and preferably in the use of Power Query/ Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Ability to work & thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
