JOB SUMMARY:
Overall responsibility for team success by agreeing, implementing and monitoring individual and team objectives and targets whilst ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Responsibilities:
•Provide department support and supervise the staff in the air freight department.•Prepare shipments for clients: customs clearance, shipping, distribution and identify their needs and provide feedback.•Coordinate pickup and delivery orders with trucking companies, airlines, shipping lines, warehouses etc. to obtain necessary information in order the process shipments in the best way.•Training of staff and motivate team members to accomplish the goals,•Building and maintaining relationships (internal/external)•Write weekly/monthly figures and reports•Sets quarterly targets and objectives•Communication- encourages respect and open communication within and beyond the team•Review workflows and procedures and provides feedback to maintain a high quality of service level•Documents, records and reports all discrepancies to include missed deadlines.•Handling escalations from customers and internally•Monitoring Operational KPIs on regular basis to ensure they are achieved and improved consistently.•Issuing freight bills, invoices to brokers and responsible for collecting unpaid invoices within the credit term•Controlling the airfreight files data.•PSA BDP network pricing.Qualifications/ Experience
