Key Responsibilities:


  • Actively participate in the site management team in the areas of the annual operational planning, strategic planning, corporate HSE governance, audit, management systems, sharing of best practices, initiatives compliance and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist site management in establishing goals and metrics aligned with company HSE goals and initiatives.
  • Successfully integrate teams and HSE processes into site operations via the HSE management system.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to evaluate site performance against regulatory and Honeywell guidelines, protocols and requirements.
  • Audit the HSE management system and monitor the associated action plans to improve overall HSE maturity.
  • Be responsible for regulatory monitoring to ensure the site's compliance with Moroccan legislation is maintained.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement practical and functional approaches to solving safety, health and environmental issues by developing strategies to satisfy interested parties and comply with regulations and policies.
  • Provide coaching and development to site leadership in HSE areas
  • Develop and lead HSE training for site staff and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement site emergency response plans and serve as emergency coordinator for events.
  • Review current regulations and Honeywell requirements and recommend appropriate measures to ensure compliance.
  • Have a good knowledge of Lean tools and processes.
  • Promote strong integration of HSE into the company's integrated management system. Work in close collaboration with the members of the management committee in this regard.
  • Coordinate Insurance audits with regard to loss prevention and associated action plans.
  • Utilizes six-sigma tools and behavior-based safety strategies to guide injury prevention efforts.
  • Lead root cause analyzes following incidents and lead the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Carry out internal safety, health, and environmental audits to verify compliance levels. Evaluate the site's HSE management system, procedures and processes and implement changes to maximize efficiency.
  • Develop site-specific safety, health and environmental policies/procedures and ensure that requirements are effectively incorporated into standard operating procedures.
  • Manage expenses in accordance with budgetary procedures and manage site HSE projects in accordance with budget.
  • Provide expertise during the conception and design phases of products and manufacturing processes to ensure that control methodologies are integrated into the design. Conduct process risk assessments as necessary.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide technical advice to employees to minimize risks associated with material handling, repetitive motions, and workstation design.
  • Review new chemicals from a safety and health perspective and ensure that appropriate controls are in place before their introduction into the workplace.
  • Develop working relationships with local regulatory agencies and serve as on-site point of contact for all inspections and regulatory inquiries. Monitor, review and interpret existing and proposed changes to occupational health and safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct robust risk assessments and promote this culture by coaching and training all employees on site in this regard.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and publish HSE indicators, in accordance with local and Honeywell requirements.
  • Participate in the CSSCT and carry out, under the responsibility of the site manager, the corrective actions resulting from this committee.
  • Be & designate as HSE referent on the site as defined by the Moroccan legislation.
  • Ensure proper order management (PO) and work closely with the Procurement department.
  • Study and implement waste and energy reduction initiatives to develop site objectives and projects.
  • Contribute to the site's continuous improvement process by proposing and implementing ideas and ensuring the involvement of all employees in achieving objectives.
  • Collaborates in investigations and analyzes of occupational diseases.

Key Skills and Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of the HSE management system, knowledge of HSE regulations (labor code and environmental legislation), crisis and emergency management.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 standards at a minimum
  • Higher education (bac+4/5) in engineering school or university in the field of Hygiene-Health-Safety-Environment
  • Field manager, organized, responsive and with excellent interpersonal skills.
