Position overview:


Reporting directly to the Operations Director Wire Harnesses Africa, our future Plant manager will have as main mission to develop and sustain the plant competitiveness by delivering our products at the right time with the Quality expected and with positive profitability.



Meet the plant Budget and Forecasts on a monthly basis, involving and developing people to ensure Lear as an employer of choice.



Promote CI culture in the plant, improve plant saturation, strengthen succession plan for Meknes, and ensure 90% of employees are A players.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Directs, manages and monitors the overall plant operations

  • Establish the vision and goals for the plant that are aligned with the overall business vision.

  • Directs and manages plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.

  • Communicate and realize the vision in terms that the team can understand and know how they each contribute, and what is required to achieve said vision.

  • Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures and strive for continuous improvement of process improvements

  • Establishes and maintains positive community and customer relationships.

  • Prepare the IATF certification for 2024

  • Deploy LPA on all plant levels and ensure 100% compliance and action completion

  • Ensure 100% compliance on 5S

  • Ensure the beneficial occupancy planned and smooth layout upgrade

  • Meeting salaried hiring plan

  • Meeting forecast commitment and controlling CAPEX Spend

  • Prepare and update corporate reports as required

  • Drives the highest standards of excellence across the plant as a whole including functional areas within a matrix organization,

  • Drive CI Culture in the plant by implementing kaizen events

  • Set up suggestion system workshops 1 idea/employee

  • Encouraging innovative ideas by celebrating on a monthly basis (Best Kaizen, best operator, and best team)

  • Publish best practices with sister plants and implement volunteer and mandated BP

Key skills and Qualifications:



  • Significant experience in a plant management function, preferably within a Wiring factory

  • Drive, determination, and management skills to lead, engage and motivate your team

  • Experience in a high complexity manufacturing environment

  • Experience with High Performance Work Teams

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Mastery of the English language and the French language

  • Planning and Organization skills.

  • Time Management and Prioritization skills.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
