Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The IT Specialist assists in ensuring the smooth operation of all technology systems and infrastructure within the hotel property environment. This includes providing technical support to staff and guests, maintaining network and server systems, managing IT security, and assisting in implementing new technologies to enhance hotel operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to hotel staff and guests. Assist in Maintaining the hotel network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks, routers, switches, and firewalls. Administer and maintain server systems, including file servers, email servers, and domain controllers. Implement data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard critical information and ensure business continuity. Install, configure, and support software applications used within the hotel, such as property management systems (PMS) and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Assists in enforcing IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in IT support and system administration, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Proficiency in server administration, including Windows Server and/or Linux/Unix systems.
- Familiarity with hotel-specific software and systems, such as property management systems (PMS) and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications are a plus
