This role is designed for an experienced commercial leader who will drive strategic partnerships and revenue growth across the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors. The Strategic Account Director will own key accounts, build consultative relationships with senior stakeholders, and position complex lab informatics solutions to solve critical business challenges. This position blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, including account planning, deal negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires a deep understanding of the market, ability to translate client needs into tailored solutions, and a focus on long-term client success. You will work in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment with opportunities to influence business strategy and shape the customer experience globally.

Accountabilities

Own assigned strategic accounts, driving new and repeat sales of products and professional services to meet established revenue targets. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding evolving business needs and positioning solutions accordingly. Develop and execute account and opportunity plans, coordinating activities from lead generation to deal closure. Collaborate with internal teams, including product, customer success, and marketing, to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction. Conduct client presentations and workshops, conveying the value proposition of complex informatics solutions. Monitor project progress and client engagement to proactively identify issues and opportunities. Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, including sales activities, forecasts, and account updates. Represent the client’s perspective internally, advocating for solutions that drive measurable impact.

Requirements

5+ years of proven sales experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or clinical industries, including account management responsibilities. Experience with LIMS, ELN, or other laboratory informatics solutions is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to achieve sales quotas and cultivate high-value client relationships. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with executive-level stakeholders. Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple accounts in a remote or global environment. Proficiency in CRM systems and familiarity with account planning and forecasting processes. Willingness to travel regionally or globally as needed. Bonus: understanding of scientific domains, AI in lab environments, and value engineering/business case creation.
