Under the authority of the HSE Engineer, the HSE Officer ensures a daily presence on the ground to control the application of safety instructions, carry out operational inspections and audits, and ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health standards. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of workstations. Verify the conformity of work equipment and the effective use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Control the application of operational control procedures (waste management, chemical product storage, fire permits, lockout/tagout, etc.). Identify dangerous situations, near misses, and non-conformities in the field. Stop any immediate danger and immediately inform the HSE Engineer. Draw up inspection reports and record discrepancies noted in the monitoring tools. Explain and ensure understanding of safety instructions directly to operators in the field. Lead safety talks (safety minutes) or HSE inductions for new arrivals and subcontractors. Guide teams in the correct application of secured operating procedures. Verify the effective application of corrective actions decided by the HSE Engineer following audits. Participate in the root cause analysis during a work incident or accident in their area.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bac+2 in Health, Safety, Environment. A first experience (1-3 years) in a similar position in an industrial, construction, or logistics environment is often desired.
