Position overview:


In line with Lear’s long term plan within Connection Systems, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Industrial Engineering Manager to support the development and projects launch of our business located in TFZ. He/She will be reporting to the Plant Manager.



Our future Industrial Engineering Manager, as part of the management team, participates in decision making and planning activities to ensure the profitability of the plant and the achievement of the plant's measurable indicators



He/She will be responsible for the management of the Industrial Engineering activities and technical status of process and production equipment.


Key Responsibilities:


As Industrial Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)




  • Recommends and leads methods in the development of new manufacturing processes, responsible for selection of the most appropriate production methods and technologies

  • Leads and executes implementation of new projects to meet automotive standards.

  • Responsible for carrying out capacity analyses within projects

  • He leads processes transfers from other locations and insourcing activities

  • Work closely with Engineering and central team to coordinate project execution from development Phase to Serial Production.

  • Assure flawless sign-off with the molding department

  • Controls and manages the investment plan for new projects including financial results

  • Participates in meetings with customers and auditors

  • Participate and lead technical part of production transfers

  • Collaborates on process improvement projects (6 Sigma, lean manufacturing)

  • Cooperates with project teams from other plants

  • Support the internal OSH system, and actively participate in its continuous improvement.

  • Fulfill the objectives for OSH and PPE according to individual levels in the organization

  • Lead his team in health and safety issues.

  • Ensure that safe work practices are established and that the team adhere to them

  • To create a healthy working environment with a focus on occupational safety and the environment.

  • Responsible for managing his center according to the latest valid IATF16949 standards and customers’ requirements

Key skills and Qualifications:



  • Strong drive, determination, and management skills to lead from the front and get the best out of your team.

  • Previous experience in Engineering and/or Facility Management

  • Previous experience in launching or growing new business

  • Excellent people skills: leadership ability to build and direct the department

  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships within corporate and operational functions.

  • Experience in molding

  • Project management skills

  • Fluency in English Language is mandatory

  • University degree in an engineering or technical discipline
