Clinical Psychologist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/><br/>- Assist in the development implementation for policies and procedures to<br/><br/>Maintain optimal agency functioning.<br/><br/>-Oversee the quality of services provided by staff<br/><br/>-Provide clinical services to trainees including initial consultation and<br/><br/>Diagnostic assessment for trainees with a wide range of mental health,<br/><br/>Behavioral, emotional and developmental concerns.<br/><br/>- Provide crisis assessment and intervention including assessment for safety<br/><br/>- Provide individual and cuples psychotherapy<br/><br/>- Provide educational programs and outreach address campus issues<br/><br/>-May administer, score and interpret psychological assessment instruments and complete assessment batteries<br/><br/>- Provide supervision to Graduate Assistant, practicum trainees andpsychology intens.<br/><br/>- Conducts psychiatric interviews and collects data for diagnostic purposes.<br/><br/>- Provides various psychotherapies, including individual, group and family therapies.<br/><br/>- Offers counseling for couples with marital conflicts.<br/><br/>- Uses behavioral methods for the treatment of children and adults and plans the frequency, intensity and duration of therapy.<br/><br/>- Performs psychometric (mental measuring) testing for diagnosis and evaluation of therapy.<br/><br/>- Engages in research and educational activities that will improve methods and techniques for the management of emotionally disturbed patients.<br/><br/>- Keeps current with ideas in the fields of personality development and adjustment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental disorders to assist in the planning of mental health progress.<br/><br/>- Provides advice to community organizations and participates in related psychological and welfare activities.<br/><br/>- Takes after hours or weekend calls as required by specific cases or in emergency situations as requested.<br/><br/>- Participates in in-service teaching programs for Nurses and Medical staff.<br/><br/>- Performs miscellaneous related duties as requested by the Chief Psychiatrist.<br/><br/>- Maintains complete and accurate records of all assigned cases.<br/><br/>- Maintains competency of procedures and related tasks.<br/><br/>- Explain procedures to the patient and obtain relevant patient history.<br/><br/>- Treat patient with compassion and to be a person centered care.<br/><br/>Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.<br/><br/>- Involving patients in decisions and helping them take actions to support<br/><br/>themselves.<br/><br/>- Involve patients, families and caregivers by providing them with education and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery.<br/><br/>- Dedicated to education of health professions students, residents and Fellow physicians so they can work together in multidisciplinary teams to provide competent, ethical and continuous person-centered care.<br/><br/>SPECIALTY QUALIFICATION :<br/><br/>- Bachelor Degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized college or university.<br/><br/>- Two (2) years' experience in the field of clinical psychology.<br/><br/>SPECIALIZED SKILLS:<br/><br/>-Fluency in Arabic and English.<br/><br/>- Comprehensive knowledge of medical clinics with regard to the obligation to maintain work confidentiality.<br/><br/>- Working knowledge of intelligence, achievement, interest, personality and other psychological tests and measuring devices.<br/><br/>REQUIRED ATTITUDE TO PERFORM THE JOB:<br/><br/>-Strong communication skills with both co-workers and supervisors (may also<br/><br/>extend to vendors, stakeholders, and customers).<br/><br/>- Candidates with clear values who share those values with others.<br/><br/>-Shows a supportive attitude toward change and is willing to try new ideas to achieve results.<br/><br/>- Proper, effective and compassionate communication<br/><br/>#J-18808-Ljbffr
