Position Title: Maintenance Engineer

JOB PURPOSE
Under direction, supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for maintenance of plant equipment, machinery and related facilities; ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Policies & Procedures
Comply with operational procedures and instructions when performing all job tasks and activities.
Plant Maintenance
- Supervise immediate maintenance actions to fix critical breakdown so production schedule can be resumed with minimum delay.
- Ensure that all damaged or scheduled parts are fixed or ready to be used when required.
- Verify all received items to ensure their conformity to the required specifications mentioned in the Material Requisition sheet.
Teamwork & Employee Excellence.
- Enhance work environment to promote and drive employee engagement and team effectiveness.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide staff feedback regarding strengths, areas for improvements and development opportunities.
- Establish KPI’s for individual units and ensure that they are aligned with FPI’s mission and vision.
HSE
- Develop a safety culture by ensuring all staff comply with HSE policies and procedures.
- Participate in QHSE audits, incident reporting and review of QHSE performances as required.
- Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions.
- Use personal protective equipment and safety gear when performing assigned tasks.
- Keep operational areas clean and well organized to prevent incidents and accidents.
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment and machinery in good working order.
- Report unsafe acts, incidents or safety violations.
Skills
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.
- Minimum Experience:
- At least 5 years maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Experience in industrial factory as Supervisor / Team Leader / Shift Leader is preferred.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Knowledge of motor maintenance (dismantling and identifying failure modes, etc…)
- Knowledge of crane repairs
- Ability to read/draw and understand drawings.

- Computer Literate (MS Office, CAD, etc…)
