The holder of the position is responsible for managing the local purchasing organization and all purchasing related topics and local activities in regards to direct production material. The holder is part of the EMEA Supply Chain Management (SCM) Operations Team. acting also as interface to the SCM Category Team, Supplier Quality and other functions.
The holder of this position reports to the SCM Operations Manager CS EMEA.
Your Role:
- Acting as plant SCM representative for direct material related activities towards internal stakeholders (local and EMEA) as well as to external suppliers.
- Coordinate all purchasing activities undertaken by Aptiv Tangier CS Plant, supervising the complete purchasing process and assuring all applicable processes and procedures are met and in compliance to company requirements.
- Define and implement initiatives focused on achieving an efficient and professional performance in the organization to meet or exceed the needs and objectives of both the local production unit and the EMEA organization.
- Material Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Leading annual material budget process
- Manage business transfers
- Support cost reduction initiatives
- Manage and oversea ERP maintenance activities
- Identify and develop local sources supporting Aptiv CS Tangier business.
- Negotiate, create and maintain Frame Contracts for Integrated Suppliers / Full Service Suppliers following the applicable DOA.
- Represent the function locally in all kind of reviews and projects
- Involvement & support of internal and external audits
Your Background:
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar position in procurement, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Fluent in English and French, Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively. Experience in leading small teams is a plus.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Project Management skills. Engineering affinity or background considered as a plus.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and SAP. Cost Control, Compliance, Budgeting and Quality Assurance trainings are an added value.
- Disciplined and assertive, high level of commitment and independent working style.
- Open mindset and willingness to learn.
