Our client - a part of a large renowned group is looking for a Sales & Marketing Director - FMCG, reporting directly to VP - FMCG.

The job location will be based in Dakar - Senegal.

Candidate will primarily look into Home Care, Personal care and Dairy business segments. The ideal candidate will be responsible to oversees the sales and marketing department of a market cluster as well as manages the entire network of customers for the cluster. Responsible to deliver short and long terms business growth and profit of the cluster.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Deliver financial & sales metrics as aligned with senior management including Volume / sales / profit / cash but also numeric distribution and in store visibility objectives.
• Build strategic relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Develop and deliver sales and marketing plans for the cluster as aligned with Head office.
• Responsible to create the Go to Market strategy for the cluster and deliver on it.
• Analyze performance metrics to drive business development and improvement.
• Make data-driven decisions that impact productivity and profitability.
• Coordinate with various departments within the organization for seamless operation.
• Lead, train and mentor the internal team as well as distributor teams towards achieving goals and objectives.

Required Skills:

• Experience in sales and marketing in a local African market.
• Experience in managing distributors and modern trade customers directly.
• A strong understanding of African Markets and what it takes to manage a local organization.
