Purpose of the Job
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop comprehensive logistics plans, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution strategies.
*Coordinate with cross-functional teams (procurement, operations, and supply chain) to ensure project alignment.
*Establish timelines, milestones, and deliverables for logistics projects.
*Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, from sourcing to delivery.
*Optimize logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery of goods.
*Implement solutions to reduce lead times, transportation costs, and improve overall efficiency.
*Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL), carriers, and vendors.
*Resolve any logistical issues that arise during transport or distribution.
*Identify potential risks in the logistics process and develop contingency plans.
*Troubleshoot issues such as shipment delays, inventory discrepancies, or customs clearance problems.
*Implement strategies to mitigate risk and ensure smooth operation.
*Manage logistics project budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with company financial goals.
*Monitor and track project expenses, including transportation costs, warehousing fees, and equipment costs.
*Analyze logistics data to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements.
*Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations (on-time delivery, cost per shipment, etc.).
*Prepare regular reports for senior management on logistics performance, budget, and project status.
*Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
*Lead and mentor logistics teams to ensure project goals are met.
*Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
*Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation.
*Excellent organizational and project management skills.
*Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
*Experience with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle Transportation Management, or similar tools).
*Negotiation skills for managing vendors and contracts.

Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education
Qualifications:
*Bac+3/5 degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
*Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
*Experience managing large-scale logistics projects in a fast-paced environment.
*Familiarity with international logistics, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
