About the Role:

Senior Manager , MEA Region is a senior role responsible for project management in the MEA region and reporting to the Chief Development Officer MEA.

The primary objective is to strengthen HIF Global's presence in the Middle East and Africa region and guarantee the management of new and upcoming projects, while identifying and securing additional business opportunities.

In the initial stages of project development, the Senior Manager will oversee the project phases from origination to studies and approvals, as well as the preparation and completion of the Pre-Feed. This role will provide strategic support within the MEA region in line with the regional strategy set out by the Chief Development Officer of the region. It will also manage all course of business functions, including the establishment of offices in countries, local workforce management, commercial licenses, projects, government engagement, community social relations, health and safety, and all other aspects required to deliver and operate projects undertaken by HIF Global.

Direction and support will be provided by HIF Global and HIF EMEA as and when required.

This role is responsible for overseeing the transition from start-up to full operational capacity for the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Regional and Country Operations: It is essential to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy and green hydrogen and hydrogen derivative sector, including competitors, potential partners, customers, key stakeholders, equipment manufacturers, and associated costs.
2. Deal Origination: Identify business development opportunities and solutions, provide support during the due diligence process, assist with risk management and problem-solving, and contribute to the enhancement of the HIF Global brand.
3. Project Development: Communicate project development needs proactively to management. Coordinating with the Technical, Finance and Legal functions at the EMEA and Global levels, providing support for the development and delivery of the HIF EMEA Portfolio in the region.
4. Operations: Oversee the work of consultants to ensure the production of the required outcomes to support the development and delivery of the HIF Portfolio. Ensure HIF adheres to all government regulations and procedures relating to e-Fuels project development.
5. Develop and help provide further growth opportunities in the region.

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Fluency in English is required, with a second language commonly used in the MEA region.

Required Skills:

1. Ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
2. Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising contractors and managing diverse teams.
3. Experience working with Asian companies and a strong understanding of cultural nuances and business practices in Asia.
4. Proficiency in negotiating contracts and agreements to achieve favorable outcomes.
5. Pre-Feed and Feed experience for complex projects
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
7. A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
8. Familiarity with international regulations and standards related to hydrogen production and modular construction.
