Exciting Opportunity: Hostess at Comptoir Darna

Comptoir Darna, a staple of Marrakech's vibrant nightlife, is seeking a charismatic, detail-oriented, and team-oriented G to join our team. The Hostess will be responsible for managing restaurant reservations, maintaining our reservation system, and ensuring a warm and memorable welcome for our guests. This is a team player role, and the ideal candidate will be excited to collaborate with our dedicated staff to provide exceptional service.

Main Responsibilities

As a Hostess, your duties will include:

• Gaining a thorough understanding of our restaurant's concept and the food and beverage offerings, including promotions, and being able to explain these to guests.
• Taking reservations via phone, email, online booking platforms, and in person, and updating the reservation system accordingly. You will also be expected to reconfirm all reservations via phone or email.
• Scheduling all reservations and arranged seating with management prior to each service period.
• Regularly updating the reservation system with an accurate table count and ensuring all available tables are updated and reinstated as soon as possible.
• Professionally offering alternative dining options if the restaurant is fully booked or offering the guest a seat until a table is ready while keeping them updated.
• Welcoming and escorting patrons with the ultimate goal of delighting and satisfying each guest.
• Ensuring the accuracy of all menus: current, correctly spelled, clean and presentable, and ensuring the menu paper is complete and distributed appropriately.
• Recommending and up-selling the initial beverage offer as per service sequence and effectively forwarding the order directly to the waiter in the respective station.
• Performing any tasks related to billing according to hotel standards and cashiering policies if required.
• Bidding a friendly farewell to guests and sincerely thanking them for their visit.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred.
• Experience as a Hostess in a high-volume restaurant/Hotel with the highest levels of service is preferred.
• A minimum of 1-year experience working as a Hostess.
• The ability to understand guest needs and to deliver superior customer service.
• Excellent presentation at all times.
• Fluency in French & English. Proficiency in a third language is a plus.
• Ability to work evening shifts extending into late hours
• A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
