DESCRIPTION:
The Credential Hunting Lead Expert plays a pivotal role in the Cyber Defense team, leading initiatives to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks associated with compromised credentials and password leaks. This position requires advanced expertise and strategic oversight in credential hunting activities, ensuring robust defenses against emerging threats.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee credential hunting initiatives across various platforms and systems, ensuring proactive identification of compromised credentials.
- Develop and implement advanced strategies for investigating and analyzing potential password leaks and data breaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional cybersecurity teams to enhance password security practices and policies.
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations for improving organizational password management practices, including the development of policies and standards.
- Drive incident response efforts related to compromised credentials, leading investigations and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze emerging threats and industry best practices related to password security, integrating findings into organizational strategies.
- Mentor and train junior analysts, sharing knowledge and best practices in credential hunting and cybersecurity.
Votre ProfilTechnical & functional skills:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field, with a focus on credential hunting and password security.
- Proven track record in conducting advanced password hunting activities and analyzing complex datasets related to compromised credentials.
- In-depth understanding of password management principles, frameworks, and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Extensive experience with password cracking tools and techniques, along with knowledge of emerging technologies in the field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Advanced programming and scripting skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or similar, to automate security tasks and develop custom tools for credential analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on fostering teamwork and collaboration within the cybersecurity team.
