Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation & Quality Control:

  
  
  • Prepare food items in the kitchen, ensuring they meet IKEA's standards for taste, presentation, and food safety.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Follow recipes and ensure consistency in food quality.
  • Assist in menu planning and updating food offerings according to seasonal availability or customer preferences.

• Customer Service:

  
  
  • Work in the food court or restaurant area, interacting with customers and ensuring they have a positive experience.
  • Provide recommendations or assist customers with menu choices, especially regarding allergens and dietary restrictions.

• Operational Support:

  
  
  • Assist in the smooth operation of the kitchen, helping to manage food stocks, inventories, and necessary kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and in accordance with IKEA’s food safety and hygiene regulations.

• Team Collaboration:

  
  
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
  • Help train new staff members on kitchen procedures and food preparation standards.

• Waste Reduction:

  
  
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing food waste, maintaining sustainability in food sourcing, preparation, and disposal.

• Diploma in Cuisine (or equivalent culinary qualification): This is crucial for ensuring you have the professional skills to prepare and manage food in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a Kitchen: Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, especially in a large-scale setting like a restaurant or food court, would be beneficial.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure that all food served is of high quality and visually appealing.

• Customer Focused: Keep the customer experience at the forefront, ensuring they enjoy both the food and the overall experience at IKEA.
• Knowledge of Food Safety: Understanding of hygiene practices, food storage, and preparation to ensure a safe environment.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate with diverse team members.
• Passion for Food: A genuine interest in food and delivering high-quality meals to customers.
