Job Overview


We are Stellantis Africa Technical Center, seeking our futur Social Affairs, Health & Safety Manager to play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring effective social dialogue with employees. This role involves overseeing employee wellbeing initiatives, managing occupational health and safety, handling disciplinary matters, and maintaining strong relationships with employee representatives. With a focus on transparency and collaboration, you will drive key social programs and ensure compliance with labor regulations.


Responsibilities


Employee Relations & Social Dialogue:

  • Organize professional elections and liaise with labor authorities.
  • Develop and maintain a social dialogue calendar for representative bodies.
  • Act as the key liaison for employee representatives, resolving concerns and facilitating clear, transparent communication.
  • Address Employee Representative Concerns: Act as a liaison to resolve issues and complaints raised by employee representatives, working closely with Admin, Payroll, HRBP, Management, and General Services.
  • Build trust and foster collaboration to ensure a stable social climate.


Social Engagement and Dynamics:

  • Develop and manage the annual social budget.
  • Implement and negotiate the site's annual social engagement plan, including cultural, sports, and wellbeing activities.
  • Analyze employee survey results and oversee action plans to improve workplace satisfaction.
  • Secure preferential employee benefits through partnerships with external organizations.
  • Implement the site's annual social engagement plan with all social actions (Sports activities, Cultural activities, Internal club, Team building, Family day, Health and safety actions, etc.).


Disciplinary and Compliance Management:

  • Handle disciplinary matters in line with labor regulations and company policies.
  • Manage exit negotiations, severance payments, and compliance with labor inspectorate requirements.
  • Analyze social issues raised: Employee/Manager conflicts, Employee/Employee conflicts, etc.
  • Conduct social mediation for conflicts and compliance investigations.
  • Handle compliance cases raised by the compliance department and ensure the investigation process and Group reporting.


Occupational Health, Safety & Insurance:

  • Oversee relationships with occupational health professionals and site nurses.
  • Implement health awareness programs, monitor medical activities, and address mental health and psychosocial risks.
  • Enforce safety measures and supervise compliance at operational sites.
  • Manage health insurance contracts, including renewals and amendments.
  • Handle employee complaints and ensure timely insurance premium payments.
  • Maintain relationships with insurance brokers and manage assistance service contracts.
  • Oversee the relationship with site nurses (Casanearshore and Cetiev) and the occupational physician.
  • Implement and monitor the annual health awareness and screening action plan.
  • Supervise occupational health activities, including medical exams, spontaneous visits, and follow-up on mental health and psychosocial risks.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in social affairs, safety and occupational health management within fast-paced industries.
  • Prior experience in multinational environments, handling cross-functional teams, and collaborating across departments.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance standards, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and workplace harmony.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and mediation skills in Arabic, French and English.
  • Proficiency in managing complex projects, budgets, and partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic settings while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences in both languages.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization to drive decision-making and optimize performance.
