The chemist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling water quality at all stages of the desalination process. They ensure that chemical and physical-chemical parameters comply with contractual, regulatory, and operational requirements. They ensure the availability, secure storage, and correct dosing of chemicals. They support the performance engineer, shift leaders, and operators in process optimization and participate in the mobilization, commissioning, and start-up phases.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform water analyses and ensure continuous monitoring of chemical parameters.


• Monitor and adjust chemical dosing systems.


• Quickly detect non-conformities and support operations teams.


• Manage chemicals: reception, storage, sampling, labeling.


• Participate in chemical cleaning operations, process testing, and start-up.


• Maintain laboratory records and contribute to operational reports.

Profile Sought

1. 
   Education:
   Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent discipline.


2. 
   Experience:

• 2 to 5 years in a water analysis laboratory or water production.


• Experience in desalination or water treatment is a major asset.

   Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in water analysis and laboratory techniques.


• Knowledge of drinking and industrial water quality standards.


• Use of instruments: pH meter, turbidity meter, spectrophotometer, conductivity meter...


• Knowledge of the chemical operation of the RO process (pre/treatment).

   Fluent French & Arabic; technical English appreciated.
