Job :
The Import Purchasing Manager is responsible for defining, managing, and optimizing the company's international purchasing strategy, ensuring product availability, cost control, regulatory compliance, and supply security.
- Define and implement the import purchasing strategy.
- Identify, select, and negotiate with international suppliers.
- Negotiate commercial terms: prices, delivery times, Incoterms, payment terms.
- Manage import orders (planning, volumes, quality, compliance).
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with customs, tax regulations, and import standards.
- Monitor purchasing costs, analyze variances, and propose optimization actions.
- Manage supplier disputes (quality, delivery times, non-compliance).
- Work closely with logistics, finance, and sales teams.
- Implement performance indicators (purchasing and import KPIs).
Required profile :
- Higher education in purchasing, international trade, logistics, or equivalent
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in import purchasing, ideally in trade or industry
- Good command of import procedures, Incoterms, and customs regulations
- Strong international negotiation skills
- Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken)
- Comfortable with management tools and ERP systems
- Rigor, foresight, autonomy, and analytical skills
