As part of its missions, the Water Resources Department is offering a Final Study Project (PFE) internship for engineering students wishing to develop their skills in the field.
The intern will participate in the following projects:
- In-depth hydrological studies: detailed land use mapping; calculation of spatial, regional, temporal factors; pluviometric analysis, climate change - tool programming
- Hydrological and hydraulic modeling - operational optimization of large models - tool programming
- Design of an intelligent mapping application for agricultural uses and irrigation based on remote sensing and GIS
- Optimization of flood protection schemes: location, management, and size of dams - layout, long profiles, and cross-sections of canals and dikes - hydraulic modeling
- Modeling of hydraulic systems
- Hydraulic modeling of bridge scour
Required profile :
• Engineering student in Water and Environmental Engineering or equivalent
• Basic knowledge: River hydraulics, HecRas 1D/2D, 3D modeling, data analysis and processing; Multiple Criteria Analysis (MCA); hechms; Qgis; python; AI, fluid mechanics
• Analytical thinking, initiative, and synthesis skills
