Your objectives as a Cost Engineer will be numerous and essential to the success of our operations. You will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of cost structures to identify optimization levers. As part of your duties, you will be required to perform a range of key tasks:

• Develop and monitor projected budgets in collaboration with the various project teams.


• Analyze discrepancies between actual costs and projected costs, and propose corrective actions.


• Participate in the development of commercial offers by providing reliable cost estimates.


• Monitor and control expenses throughout the project lifecycle.


• Develop and maintain cost databases and reporting tools.


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost management processes.


• Conduct profitability studies and sensitivity analyses.


• Stay informed about best practices in cost management within the sector.

About the position:

Within Capgemini Engineering, you will be involved in techno-economic analysis and product cost optimization. As a Cost Engineer, you will contribute to cost evaluation, the development of economic models, and the overall competitiveness of projects.

Job responsibilities:

Conduct cost analyses for various technical components and systems.
Monitor market changes and identify key technological trends.
Participate in the construction and updating of cost models.
Prepare presentations and deliverables for project teams.
Collaborate with various internal teams to ensure the reliability of economic data.

Your profile:

Education: Master's degree (Bac+5) in engineering (electrical, electronic, mechanical, or equivalent). Experience: Junior – 1 to 3 years of experience (or a long internship in an industrial environment).  Good command of Excel and office tools. Analytical skills, synthesis skills, and good communication abilities. Knowledge of technical components or industrial environments is appreciated. Bonus: basic knowledge of VBA, Python, or analysis tools.
