Roles & Responsibilities
The Planning Manager leads, coordinates, and optimizes all company planning processes. Their main objective is to ensure product availability while optimizing stock levels and logistics costs.
Direct hierarchical superior: Supply Chain Director
Main Responsibilities
S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) Management
- Lead consensus meetings between Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Production departments.
- Ensure optimal alignment between sales forecasts and industrial capacities.
- Present trade-offs and capacity scenarios to the Supply Chain Director.
Planning and Scheduling
- Supervise medium and long-term Industrial and Commercial Plan (PIC/S&OP).
- Validate the Production Master Plan (PDP/MPS).
- Monitor and optimize short-term production scheduling.
Stock and Procurement Management
- Define optimal policies for managing raw material, component, and finished product stocks.
- Monitor and analyze stock levels to avoid stockouts and overstocks.
Management and Performance (KPI)
- Supervise, evaluate, and develop the skills of the planning team.
- Track key performance indicators: OTIF (On Time In Full), forecast accuracy, and stock rotation.
- Implement corrective action plans in case of deviations.
Continuous Improvement and Project Management
- Participate in the evolution and optimization of IT tools (ERP / APS).
- Standardize and automate planning processes to improve organizational agility and performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Advanced mastery of Supply Chain concepts.
- Excellent mastery of ERP systems (SAP).
- Advanced expertise in Excel and data analysis tools (Power BI).
- Professional command of English (written and oral) essential in an international environment.
- Assertive leadership to federate departments with sometimes divergent interests (Sales vs. Production).
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, and decision-making skills.
- Stress resistance in the face of emergencies and unforeseen events.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with Supply Chain Management and various stakeholders.
- Bac+5 in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- An APICS certification (CPIM / CSCP) is a major asset.
- Minimum of 3 to 8 years of experience in a planning function, with a first successful experience in team management.
