Morgan Philips Executive Search is mandated by a major player in distribution in Morocco to assist them in recruiting a General Manager (F/H).

This position is intended to lead the group's reference logistics center, a storage and distribution site, as well as a network of regional distribution platforms ensuring stock buffering for points of sale in the main cities of the Kingdom.

Scope of the function

Operational Management of the Site and Network: Ensure the daily management of the logistics center, reception, storage, preparation, dispatch, as well as the network of regional platforms. Supervise the entire chain up to the final customer, including delivery operations. Optimize planning and transport within an S&OP logic.

Performance, P&L and Development: Drive the roadmap for the center and the network, with signing authority over its perimeter. Manage the business's profit and loss account and monitor both financial and operational indicators.

Management, Governance and Safety: Manage a team of PHONE_NUMBER employees. Manage social relations and relations with employee representative bodies. Ensure safety across all sites.

Performance Indicators

The success of the General Manager is evaluated on four dimensions: the operational performance of the center and the network of platforms (service quality, deadlines, costs), the solidity of the business's profit and loss account, and the quality of the social climate and safety across all sites.

Desired Candidate Profile

You have proven and solid experience in the world of large-scale logistics, storage, and distribution, with a real ability to manage a profit and loss account and both financial and human indicators. You have managed significant sites and know how to manage large teams. Experience in S&OP is an asset. You have a good understanding of the Moroccan distribution ecosystem, and a commercial sense that allows you to develop the business. Fluent French is essential.
