Commercial Manager

Buhler Group in Casablanca, Morocco is looking for a skilled professional to join our finance and commercial team as Commercial Manager. This position will be responsible to develop the commercial capabilities in the region through training, coaching, mentoring and be an expert point of contact for commercial topics in the Middle East Africa and India region

Tasks

  • Provide commercial know-how to sales managers during negotiations
  • Support during project negotiation (Optimal payment terms, scenarios calculation with projects results, equipment ROI calculation, Operational Risk Management approval request preparation)
  • Track and follow up commercial clearance of project after order released
  • Develop Non-Disclosure Agreements, Agency Agreement and Agent onboarding process, framework contracts and other contracts in close collaboration with Legal Services or external lawyers.
  • Ensure the fulfilment of Operational Risk Management, Compliance and any other internal and external rules
  • Develop and implement processes for contract handling
  • Assist sales throughout the Sales/Quotations phase (customer credit worthiness, assessment of customer readiness, evaluation of financing needs if any, others…)
  • Understand customer business models and prepare project summaries with sales and customer to present investment project to potential financing partners and Export Credit Agencies (ECA’s)
  • Establish network with local and international banks in the region in close cooperation with Financial Services Advisory
  • Conduct commercial training and refresher for the sales and finance organization in the region
  • Provide solutions to enhance the regional commercial organization and skills


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business / Economics / Law or equivalent
  • Tools : Microsoft Office + internal software : SAP (a plus), Quotation, CRM, CS Web
  • Proven experience in commercial contract negotiation
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Sales, commercial or export finance function
  • Fluent communication in English and French is a must
  • Fluent communication in Arabic is an added advantage


Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of contract law, finance and commercial aspects
  • Previous experience working with contractors and construction is a plus
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis and evaluate business plans
  • Experience of working with the Development Banks will be an added advantage
  • Proven ability in commercial risk assessment and mitigation
  • Confident in using excel (Intermediate to advanced level)
  • Knowledge of SAP CRM and Business Warehouse is a plus
