POSITION: School Receptionist
The School Receptionist, as the first point of contact for staff, students, parents, and visitors, plays a
crucial role in providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The school receptionist will handle various
administrative tasks and assist in maintaining an efficient office environment.
The school receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk operations and providing
administrative support to ensure smooth functioning of the school’s daily activities. Fluency in English,
French, and Arabic will enable effective communication with individuals from diverse cultural and
linguistic backgrounds.
KEY JOB TASKS/ RESPONSABILITIES/ DUTIES:
Overseeing and/or completing operations and routines in the following areas in a professional and
timely fashion in order to accomplish the school’s mission, goals, and objectives:
- Greet and welcome visitors, students, parents, and staff in a friendly and professional manner
- and ensuring their reception by the appropriate administrator, teacher or staff member.
- Manage the school’s main telephone line, direct calls, and take messages accurately.
- Provide information and assistance to inquiries regarding school programs, policies, and events in English, French, and Arabic.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events for school personnel.
- Assist in maintaining staff and visitors’ attendance records and updating information.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support administrative tasks, such as photocopying, filing,
- and data entry.
- Assist in the enrollment process, including registration forms and document verification.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff records in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and safety procedures, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with other school administrative staff to ensure efficient overall school operations.
- Assisting in most events occurring at school (especially in the administration)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in English
- Additional education or certification in office administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, or in a similar role.
- Fluency in English, French and Arabic
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse
- backgrounds and age groups.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Present a smart and professional appearance.
