What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the logistics sector, including partnerships, collaborations, and expansion into new markets.
  • Lead market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics in the logistics industry.
  • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and acquisition targets to support the growth objectives of the logistics division.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, industry associations, and government agencies, to support business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance, to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with overall company objectives.
  • Lead the negotiation and execution of contracts, agreements, and partnerships with external parties, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Develop and manage the logistics business development budget, forecasting revenue projections and tracking expenses to achieve financial targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of business development initiatives, measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) and ROI to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, market trends, and competitive developments, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to guide decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance and capabilities.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic planning roles within the logistics or transportation industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth and expansion.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and industry dynamics, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business development plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, financial data, and business performance metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve business development goals.
  • Proficiency in using technology tools and systems for market research, analysis, and project management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed for business meetings, conferences, and industry events.
