Description of the position We are looking for a Configuration Engineer for Testing Means to join our project team in the railway sector. With a minimum of 3 years in the configuration of testing means, modeling, or system validation. Objective To ensure the reliability and effectiveness of testing means by: Modeling software environments for tests and validations. Deploying and configuring testing means (CoSim, TestBench, Trainlab, etc.). Ensuring the sustainability, availability, and absence of regressions in configurations. Contributing to the continuous improvement of configuration and validation processes. Missions Modeling Write specifications for software environment models. Develop models for tests and validations. Test and validate solutions on PC, simulator, or test bench. Investigate and diagnose detected anomalies. Open and track change requests according to the applicable process. Test modifications made to models. Trace modeled requirements to ensure complete traceability. Ensure configuration management of models. Deployment of Configurations Produce CoSim configurations (collaborative simulation). Produce TestBench configurations (test benches). Produce Trainlab configurations (railway environment). Manage the configuration of testing means (CoSim, test bench, etc.). Test configurations to ensure the absence of regression and proper installation. Write test reports to document results. Log and track anomalies and evolutions of testing means. Process modifications of testing means as needed. Ensure the sustainability and availability of testing means.
Desired Candidate Profile
Technical Skills Proven experience in modeling, configuration of testing means, or system validation. Mastery of modeling and simulation tools: Simulatio, E3.Series, TestStand. Knowledge of diagnostic and traceability tools: Diagnostic Editor, TrainTracer, TraceView, Wireshark. Experience with configuration management tools: ControlBuild, JIRA. Ability to use test and validation tools: Utest, VNC Viewer. Understanding of configuration management processes and industry standards (e.g., EN 50128 for railways). Knowledge of testing environments: CoSim, TestBench, Trainlab. Soft Skills Rigor and attention to detail: Ensure precise configuration and flawless traceability. Analytical thinking: Ability to investigate and solve complex problems related to configurations. Collaboration: Work as a team with developers, test engineers, and other stakeholders. Autonomy: Manage priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Organization: Ability to manage multiple configurations and projects simultaneously.
