Context

As part of the operational continuity and evolution of the Scalian Group's IT infrastructure, we are seeking a Windows & VMware Systems and Infrastructure Operations Engineer. This is an operational role focused primarily on daily operations, infrastructure reliability, and service continuity for users in an international, multi-site environment.

The position will also contribute to technical improvement and transformation projects, while maintaining a strong operational dimension.

Hierarchical Attachment

Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager , you will join the Systems team within the Group IT Department.

Main Missions

• Operate, administer and maintain Windows Server environments on a daily basis.
• Administer VMware virtualization platforms and associated infrastructures.
• Monitor the health status, availability, capacity of infrastructures as well as the execution of backups.
• Manage the entire server lifecycle: deployment, configuration, inventory, updates, version upgrades and decommissioning.
• Administer backup and disaster recovery solutions, investigate backup failures and regularly perform restore tests.
• Handling level 2 and 3 incidents and service requests: diagnosis, resolution, escalation and follow-up.
• Perform recurring operating activities and preventive maintenance in accordance with procedures and service commitments.
• Supporting application and business teams in their infrastructure provisioning and technical support needs.
• Maintain up-to-date operating procedures, inventories, technical documentation and knowledge bases.
• Participate in service continuity, skills transfers and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Deploy security patches, address vulnerabilities, and maintain secure configurations.
• Implement and maintain Windows hardening standards and Group security policies.
• Contribute to compliance activities, including ISO 27001, through reliable operation and traceable documentation.
• Analyze recurring incidents and propose pragmatic corrective or preventive actions.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using PowerShell and/or Ansible to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, standardization and operating practices.
