QA Engineer

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our Quality and Assurance team for a marine container handling terminal. The QA Engineer will play a pivotal role in executing and delivering quality testing procedures to ensure the seamless integration of new functionalities, bug fixes, and improvements into the operational environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in testing equipment, automation functionalities, integrated IT systems, and other terminal systems to uphold the highest standards of operational excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:



- Execute test procedures for equipment standalone and integrated within terminal operations.
- Conduct testing of automation functionalities, integrated IT functionalities, TOS, GOS, M2M, ECS, and other terminal systems.
- Ensure alignment of all testing activities with safety standards and procedures. Adhere to existing QA processes and procedures.
- Verify that configured IT systems, interfaces, and automation control systems meet specified requirements.
- Collaborate with Automation/Interface, M&R, IT, and Operations teams for QA testing and simulation.
- Ensure test output meets operational requirements before production rollout. - - Document testing scenarios and corrective actions for defect management processes.
- Propose, review, and implement corrective action plans for systemic issues.
- Follow the company's safety protocols and report any unsafe acts or risks.
- Execute test cases as per stakeholder requests.
- Monitor defect management processes to ensure closure of all open defects.
- Engage with terminal stakeholders to ensure successful test execution and production rollout.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation in accordance with existing procedures.

Requirements:



- University degree or Bachelor of Science (BSc+) in Systems, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (equivalent education and work experience may be considered).
- Proficiency in equipment interface, automation, and IT systems.
- Familiarity with test methodology for Quality Control and ISO specifications.
- Experience in test procedures for PLC and SCADA based systems.
- Knowledge of port equipment/systems/processes or moving machinery is advantageous.
- Familiarity with simulation and emulation platforms and related documentation is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers, vendors, and external contractors.
- Ability to work with diverse cultures and geographically distributed teams.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined approach to work.
