The role requires a hands-on approach in managing a wide variety of suppliers to construct infrastructure that will be world-leading in design, functionality and performance. Marine Engineer – Aquaculture joins a growing team that will re-define the future of sustainable aquaculture.<br/><br/>Position Description & Responsibilities<br/><br/>Plan, coordinate, and oversee all engineering aspects of the marine asset construction process (construction of what?)<br/><br/>Oversee the design, engineering, and development marine aquaculture systems.<br/><br/>Supervise on-site teams to ensure project adherence to the highest quality standards.<br/><br/>Oversee the manufacturing process of marine structures and equipment and schedule and perform audits.<br/><br/>Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all project phases.<br/><br/>Budget estimation, negotiation, and management.<br/><br/>Troubleshoot technical issues related to marine engineering and aquaculture systems.<br/><br/>Oversee refurbishment, maintenance and repair of current and new facilities and equipment.<br/><br/>Coordinate with relevant authorities for regulatory approvals.<br/><br/>Lead innovative projects to advance sustainable aquaculture practices.<br/><br/>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.<br/><br/>Monitor and evaluate system performance and implement improvements as needed.<br/><br/>Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and other team members.<br/><br/>Conduct feasibility studies for proposed projects, including cost estimates and timelines.<br/><br/>Participate in the selection and management of suppliers and contractors.<br/><br/>Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.<br/><br/>Knowledge and Experience<br/><br/>Extensive knowledge of marine engineering principles and aquaculture systems.<br/><br/>Proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing marine structures and equipment.<br/><br/>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to marine engineering.<br/><br/>Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in the field of aquaculture.<br/><br/>Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.<br/><br/>Leadership skills to manage and guide teams on innovative projects.<br/><br/>Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for design and analysis (knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling software, with the ability to create detailed project blueprints and visualizations).<br/><br/>Knowledge of sustainable practices in aquaculture.<br/><br/>Ability to conduct feasibility studies, including cost estimates and project timelines.<br/><br/>Skills in supplier and contractor management.<br/><br/>Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with advancements in marine engineering and aquaculture technology.<br/><br/>Strong budgeting and project management skills.<br/><br/>Ability to write standard operating procedure, create manuals and train staff.<br/><br/>Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure. Deal with tight schedules a meet demanding timelines.<br/><br/>Qualifications<br/><br/>Bachelor’s degree in Marine/Ocean Engineering, Aquaculture, or a related field; Master's degree .<br/><br/>Significant experience in marine engineering, with a focus on aquaculture.<br/><br/>Excellent communication and presentation skills.<br/><br/>Experience in designing and developing aquaculture systems and marine structures.<br/><br/>Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations applicable to the aquaculture industry.<br/><br/>Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.<br/><br/>Experience leading and managing teams on complex engineering projects.<br/><br/>Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with advancements in marine engineering and aquaculture technology.<br/><br/>#J-18808-Ljbffr
