Description
Mindera works with a variety of clients across the world to innovate and solve tough technical problems. Our security team enables Mindera to meet a variety of security standards and keep all Minders safe from the bad guys’ hands.
This role is focussed around Mindera’s internal needs, but occasionally you may be asked to work with one of our clients.
Requirements
What you'll be up to
Security monitoring and alerting. Improve our monitoring and alerting systems across a variety of infrastructure: from the cloud, to on-prem servers, to end user devices; Centralised notifications. Ensure that we don’t miss a notification! Integrate monitoring sources with our communication channels, ensuring reliability and availability; Incident response. Hone and perfect incident response procedures and reporting; Infrastructure hardening. Help harden and verify infrastructure configuration across our fleet; Security Support. Advise and answer queries from Minders, contribute to guidelines, awareness and security best practices; … and more. Be involved in other security activities, such as security policies and standards, data protection and privacy, security reviews and reports, etc.
What we’re looking for
Experience. You know what you’re doing and want to learn more. You have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in the field.
Technical Skills.
+ Strong believer in automation and infrastructure as code (terraform, CDK, etc). You know the tools too, of course;
+ Proficient in data collection and analysis (SIEM and friends);
+ Comfortable with AWS and/or GCP and their security services;
+ Understand computer networking;
+ Linux admin or power user;
+ Good at scripting (Python, Lua, Bash, etc.) and eager to learn more;
Communication. You’re a good communicator and are not afraid to ask. English is the main language used at Mindera, so you will be using it a lot, both spoken and in writing; Mindset. You can work autonomously and proactively in a distributed and dynamic organisation. You want to get things done, and done well.
