The Corporate Tax department is responsible for all corporate income and indirect (transactional) tax matters within DHL. Global responsibilities are addressed by International Taxes and Indirect Taxes, whereas regional responsibilities are organized by area, led by Regional Heads.

Your tasks: 

  • Ensure compliance with CIT, VAT, TP and all tax laws and regulations for accurate, timely filing and payment for assigned countries - Morrocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt.
  • Manage and facilitate tax audits: prepare responses, supervise audit requests, review audit report review tax assessment, attend tax audit meetings, create schedules, communicate findings, replying to appeals if required, etc.
  • Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates and implementation to assigned countries.
  • Support with various tax internal audits, advising and researching tax matters, and special tax related projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and tax implications of business decisions and transactions to assigned countries. Advice on the day-to-day requests by the assigned countries.
  • Understand customer and key stakeholders’ interests and concerns and advise key stakeholders. Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with managers.
  • Support accounting team in ensuring that quarterly and year-end tax provisions are correctly prepared within required timeframes.
  • Report issues and findings of any related tax matter or subject on timely basis to line manager.
  • Identify and manage new risks/opportunities, document risks, impact and likelihood, define actions and track implementation, consult with/inform CFO on new risks/opportunities, analyze existing risks Review existing risks periodically (incl. compliance risks).
  • Any other ad hoc work requirements as per management. ( TP documentation champion)
 

 

Your profile: 

  • Strong technical working knowledge of multijurisdictional laws and regulationsof North Africa – focus on Morrocco , Algeria & Egypt
  • Professional qualification in tax with experience of 5-8 years
  • Degree in Tax, Accounting or similar field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Logistic experience is a plus.
  • Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Business Processes, Feedback, Time Management  Presentation , & communication.
  • Strong understanding of the systems, processes and controls involved in an ERP system
  • Fluent in Arabic ,  English , &  French (Read & Write & Speaking) mandatory
