About the Role:
As the Senior Marketing Manager at Careem Morocco, you will lead our marketing initiatives, driving strategies that enhance our brand awareness, boost transactions, and increase revenue. This role demands an understanding of the Moroccan market, deciphering what resonates with consumers and what doesn’t. Your responsibilities will include crafting strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize customer acquisition and lifetime value.
What You’ll Do:
  • Strategic Vision: Develop and execute plans based on market segmentation, technology trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Customer Segmentation: Identify key customer segments, build customer personas, and optimize communication strategies.
  • Elevate Brand Awareness: Lead efforts to establish Careem as a top-of-mind brand in Morocco through brand and social media activities.
  • Content and Creatives: Ensure a consistent stream of high-quality content and creatives that support marketing offerings and enhance the customer value proposition.
  • Drive Product Usage and Growth: Increase the adoption of our service across diverse customer segments leading campaigns across various channels including digital, social and traditional media.
  • Revenue-Boosting Marketing Plans: Create marketing strategies, including promotions and partnerships, to drive revenue growth and meet monthly targets.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Collaborate with data analytics teams to harness insights and track communication performance.
What You’ll Need:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Preferably 6+ years of brand and marketing experience.
  • Communication Skills: Fluency in Arabic and French; proficiency in English is preferred. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Market Expertise: Understanding of the market landscape with expertise in agency , vendor and partner management.
  • Versatility: Ability to manage various aspects of marketing, including brand, digital, social media, and content.
  • Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail with a passion for excellence and quality.
  • Hands-On Approach: Willingness to dive into a complex operational environment.
  • Deadline-Driven: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience handling marketing budgets and forecasting/reporting results.
  • Innovative Thinking: Ability to develop innovative marketing solutions and communicate a compelling vision.
  • Team Player: Confident, outgoing, and willing to work with and mentor others.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience within the technology industry/start-up environment preferred.
  • Digital Marketing: Understanding of digital marketing and social media.
