The American School of Benguerir is looking for a qualified local candidate for the role of Primary/Secondary Substitute Teacher.
The substitute teacher provides temporary classroom instruction and maintains a positive learning environment. This role involves following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students continue to progress in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
- Deliver instruction in a clear and engaging manner to meet students’ needs.
- Maintain a productive and respectful classroom environment.
- Address and manage student behavior in line with school policies.
- Assist students with their learning activities and address any questions or concerns.
- Provide feedback to students and ensure they stay on task.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred)
- Native or native-like fluency in English
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to various teaching environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
