Job Title: Project Engineer - LBP
Division: Minerals
Location: Onsite, Morocco
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Position will manage all the technical side of EPS Louta Beneficiation plant – Classification package Project. The role will involve responsibility for managing the technical aspects of both internal & external stakeholders (customer & vendors/subcontractors). Projects will be managed according to project department SOP and will be closed with maximum benefits of company. (Quality, budget, and timing).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full responsibility for technical execution from handover to project close, adhering to budget, timing, and quality.
- Use WEIR WME project management tools and manage subcontractor engineering deliverables.
- Report to Regional Technical Project Manager via weekly and monthly meetings.
- Conduct risk analysis and complete project documentation (RASCI chart, lessons learned, project organization chart).
- Arrange and attend customer technical meetings, recording and reporting minutes.
- Collaborate with the engineering team for cost-efficient and low-risk solutions, ensuring compliance with department quality/rules and SOP.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and subcontractors, ensuring project execution and design documentation compliance.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial, Civil) and advanced English proficiency.
- Experience as a site engineer or equivalent role, with strong project management and organizational skills.
- Competent in assessing, interpreting, and presenting survey reports and critical data.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and effective communication abilities, with a focus on high-quality results.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and knowledge of sustainable construction practices.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Collaboration with Project Managers, Engineering, 3rd parties, and Services.
- Technical support for local project managers and customers from kick-off to commissioning, including reporting meetings.
- Flexibility to work in Casablanca during the engineering phase and on-site during the execution phase.
- Effective project engineering with customers and 3rd parties from kick-off to commissioning.
