JOB BRIEF

We are seeking a Hr and Engagement Specialistto join our team and support the creation of a productive work environment that aligns with our organizational goals. As a Community Relations and Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for handling grievances, serving termination notices, collecting and organizing contractor data and files, Counselling and providing guidance and support to the contractor as well as overseeing contractor training and new hire onboarding initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating and communicating with contractors to understand their concerns.
  • Handling contractor's grievances and assisting with termination decisions and attending and recording exit interviews and taking on board feedback.
  • Designing induction and orientation programs for new hires.
  • Organizing and attending new hires' orientation sessions.
  • Counseling and providing guidance and support to the contractors and resolving their issues.
  • Aiding communication between management and contractors and resolving issues.
  • Performing contractor background checks and verifying information
  • Communicate policies pertaining to Human Resources, compensation, and benefits
  • Obtaining and maintaining contractor details and keeping the database up to date.
  • Collect and analyse contractor’s data Use data to create contractor. profiles
  • Adhere to regulatory standards
  • Ensuring the company’s policies are kept up to date and in line with industry best practices.

Requirements and skills

  • 3 -5 years of Proven work experience as a Human resource, Community Relations and Engagement Specialist or contractor Relations Specialist or similar role
  • Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize own workload
  • Excellent knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to converse with various types of people from multiple backgrounds and cultures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong problem-solving ability
  • Sound approach and understanding of the importance of maintaining sensitive and confidential information.
