For the new factory in TETOUAN we are looking for FACTORY EHS SPECIALIST possessing good knowledge of local laws and regulations in the area of safety and environmental, located on site.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
You will be formalizing EHS practices, adapting global related policies and procedures to be compliant with the local legislation.
You will be responsible for managing the process of obtaining all permits and approvals related to work organization, safety and environmental aspect.
You will be monitoring Global EHS factory performance indicators (safety KPIS, environmental data, etc.) and consequently building action programs to further improve the performance. You will also be identifying the needs for establishing new EHS processes and controls (Check lists, Procedures, Reports, etc.)
You will be responsible for timely reporting to relevant authority all environmental impacts: emission to atmosphere, water usage, waste creation and disposal.
At the initial stage of the project, the successful candidate will monitor the factory site to ensure its compliance with the environmental protection legal requirements.
You will be ensuring proper functioning of waste management and disposal services (outsourced activity), and waste utilization processes if required by law regulation.
You will be identifying the training needs for Safety Training programs and fire protection. You will be managing the full training cycle in the EHS domain (learning plan, learning activities, keeping record and training catalogues).
You will be overseeing the necessary protective materials (outfit, means of personal protection, etc.) purchase, availability and accessibility.
EDUCATION
University degree (Master) in Engineering.
WORK EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of professional experience as EHS engineer
SKILLS
- Solid knowledge of local regulations and practices
- Experience in working with trade unions
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to clearly formulate policies and procedures
- Fluent in French, Arabic & English, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
