Procurement Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a multinational company operating primarily in the energy sector, specifically in fuel distribution, oil services, and aviation, for the position of Procurement Manager in Casablanca.


Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management

  • Lead and oversee effective procurement practices within the company.
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement processes and procedures for creating procurement plans that support informed decision-making and secure materials and services at the lowest total evaluated cost.
  • Share cost-saving initiatives negotiated by the Procurement Team with Department Heads and the Management Committee.

Supplier Management and Assessment

  • Establish and continuously assess reliable materials and service providers who deliver quality resources to sustain business operations.
  • Inform management about supplier performance and trends affecting the company's business and financial stability.
  • Oversee the Contractors Committee to ensure timely and flawless project execution by qualified service providers.
  • Continuously evaluate contractors to meet business quality and safety standards.
  • Regularly review the active supplier panel and conduct field activities to identify new suppliers or service providers for the company.

Internal Controls

  • Collaborate with the internal controls department and business management to identify, develop, implement, assess, and monitor appropriate control processes and procedures.
  • Periodically review internal control processes for delegated purchasers to ensure alignment with business needs, flawless execution standards, and external compliance requirements.
  • Provide management with guidance on interpreting and implementing control procedures.

Operating Expenses Management

  • Monitor operational expenses within the Procurement function to ensure adherence to agreed budgets.
  • Periodically review performance against planned targets and provide the Accounting and Finance Director with timely performance reports, variance analyses, and factor reviews.

Tenders and Contract Negotiations

  • Lead the development and implementation of the company’s procurement plans.
  • Manage end-to-end tender processes and oversee the contracts portfolio for materials and services, ensuring commercial risks are mitigated and operational needs are met at optimized costs.


Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Master's degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in a Procurement Manager position, with mandatory experience in the oil and gas sector.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in both French and English.
  • Theoretical Knowledge: Strong negotiation skills.
