Quality Manager

The Quality Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our automotive manufacturing processes. This position requires an experienced quality professional with a deep understanding of quality management systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance, managing audits, and driving quality improvement projects to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
At Adient, we are proud to offer hybrid working to our employees, which involves being able to work remotely for up to 5 days per week based on the agreement within specific department.
What will your responsibilities be?
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Oversee the inspection and testing processes to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Monitor and report on quality performance metrics and trends.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
Audits and Compliance:
- Manage internal and external quality audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up on audit findings.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, and other relevant quality standards.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and records related to quality management.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate and improve supplier performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Address customer complaints and concerns related to product quality.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with customers regarding quality issues and resolutions.
Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?
- Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive quality management experience, with at least 3 years in a quality manager role in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies.
- Proven experience in leading quality improvement initiatives and managing audits.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organization.
